Pretty annoying, it has happened heaaaps of time to myself, here’s how I fix it:
The scenario is: I want to delete a storage account and that one has a .VHD file which is a Virtual Machine, click delete and:
Go to Virtual Machines,
- Click on IMAGES and there you will see a list of disks that are available to create Virtual Machines, even when the disk is not in use, this is very important.
- Click on Delete and select the Delete the associated VHD
Next, if you go to the Storage account you want to delete, it will be possible
